Repeat Prescriptions
Patients who are on prolonged or regularly repeated courses of medication may be issued with a repeat prescription slip. This slip allows further supplies of medication to be prescribed without the patient having to consult with the doctor every time.
If you are unable to bring your prescription slip to the health centre for a repeat, please telephone us on the usual number 01224 733535 Monday – Friday after 11:00 am to request your medication. Alternatively, you can post your request to us, enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope and we will post your prescription back to you within 48 hours. You can also re- order using the online services once you have registered.
Collection
Prescriptions will be available for collection from the health centre 48 hours (2 working days) after we receive your request. Alternatively you can request that your prescription be sent to one of the local pharmacies (Peterculter Pharmacy, Rowlands or Lloyds in Cults) where your medication will be available for collection in 48 hours (2 working days). In the case of Rowlands this is now 72 hours.
Prescriptions can also be sent to Boots at Garthdee or Bon Accord but require 72 hours (3 working days) for processing before they are available for collection.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
